About Doctor
Dr.S.Ramaswamy Pillai, the Founder and Chief Physician of Sri Raghavendra Siddha Hospital, Institutionally Qualified in Siddha Medicine, hails from the family of Kerala Traditional Siddha Physicians. He has completed five & half years degree course in Siddha Medicine from Travancore Siddha Vaidya Kalloory in April 1991.The Central
Council of Indian Medicine, Govt. of India and the Tamil Nadu Siddha Medical Council, Govt. of Tamil Nadu have accorded ‘A’ Class Registration for his practice. He obtained M.D (Natural Medicine) in Sept 1996 from the Open International University for complimentary medicine, Colombo, recognized by World Health Organization. In addition to the above, he has obtained meritorious Diplomas and Certificates from various Government and Non-Government organizations in the fields of Ayurveda, Naturopathy and Acupuncture.
In the year 1996, he has started a Multi Speciality Siddha Hospital exclusively for Ortho and Neuro disorders and successfully treated more than one lakh patients who were suffering from all kinds of Spine and Joint disorders in lieu of Surgery and Painkillers for the past 29 years. In the year 2005, he has started a Medical Manuscript Research Centrefor doing elaborate Research and Development of Siddha Literature especially Medical Palm Leaf Manuscripts. In the Year 2007, he has started an Inbuilt Medicine Manufacturing Unit, wherein nearly 120 Classical Siddha Medicine are prepared.
The Government of India, Department of AYUSH has appointed him as one of the members of the Siddha Experts Committee of Traditional Knowledge Digital Library (TKDL) under the CSIR. He is a Member of the IMPCOPS Advisory Committee (IAC) and also Advisory Committee Member in the UGC Project of Siddha Literature, Pondicherry University. He was a member of the Academic Senate of the Tamil Nadu Dr.Ambethkar Law University, Chennai. In recognition of his valuable services, the Government of India, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Department of AYUSH has sanctioned a project for Cataloguing and Digitalization of rare Age Old Medical Palm Leaf Manuscripts. He has successfully completed the above project and submitted around Three Thousand bundles of Digitalized Palm Leaf Medical Manuscripts to the Department of AYUSH

Worked in various Siddha/Varma Hospitals in Kerala and Tamil Nadu from 1991 to 1996.
A Multi Speciality Siddha Hospital was started in 1996 and has treated more than 100000 patients who were suffering from Ortho and Neuro Disorders in lieu of Surgery and Pain Killers since 1996 to till date.
Research And Development Experience:
Medical Manuscript Research Centre was started in 2005 for doing elaborate Research and Development of Siddha Literatureespecially Medical Palm Leaf Manuscripts.
Started an In-house Pharmacy to prepare about 120 Classical Siddha Medicines
